Sorenson Advertising LLC (d/b/a Brand Revolt)

This Privacy Policy explains how Sorenson Advertising LLC, doing business as Brand Revolt (“Brand Revolt,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit thebrandrevolt.com (the “Site”), contact us, or otherwise interact with us. It also describes the privacy rights available to you depending on where you live.

We are a full-service marketing and advertising agency based in the United States. We serve primarily U.S. clients, and from time to time we work with international (including United Kingdom) clients. Because individuals in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom may contact us through this Site, this policy includes information for data subjects covered by the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK GDPR.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal information:

Information you provide directly

  • Contact form submissions. When you fill out a contact or inquiry form, we collect the information you provide, which typically includes your name, email address, company or organization name, and the contents of your message.
  • Email and other communications. When you email us at hello@thebrandrevolt.com or otherwise communicate with us, we collect your contact details and the contents of your message, including any attachments.
  • Newsletter and marketing signups. If you subscribe to our newsletter or updates, we collect your email address.
  • Website audit requests. If you request a free website audit report, we collect your name, email address, organization, and the website address you submit, and we email you a report.
  • Chat. If you use the chat widget on our Site, we collect the information you provide in the chat and related metadata.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage and device data. When you visit the Site, we and our analytics provider may automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring pages, the pages you view, and the dates and times of your visits.
  • Cookies and similar technologies. See the Cookies and Analytics section below and our Cookie Notice.

We do not collect sensitive personal information (such as government identifiers, financial account numbers, or health data) through the Site.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the personal information we collect to:

  • Respond to your inquiries, requests, and messages;
  • Provide, discuss, and deliver our marketing and advertising services;
  • Communicate with you about projects, proposals, and our business relationship;
  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve our Site;
  • Understand how visitors use our Site through analytics;
  • Send you newsletters, updates, and marketing communications you have requested (you can opt out at any time);
  • Prevent spam and abuse on our forms (for example, through reCAPTCHA);
  • Comply with our legal obligations, enforce our agreements, and protect our rights, your rights, and the rights of others.

3. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA/UK)

If you are located in the EEA or the UK, we process your personal information only when we have a valid legal basis to do so. Depending on the situation, our legal bases include:

  • Consent — for example, where you submit a form, opt in to marketing, or agree to non-essential cookies. You may withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legitimate interests — to respond to your inquiries, operate and secure our Site, understand site usage, and grow our business, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Performance of a contract — to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and to provide services under a contract.
  • Legal obligation — where processing is necessary to comply with applicable law.

4. Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, secure our forms, and understand how the Site is used. Some are strictly necessary for the Site to function; others help us measure traffic and performance.

We use Vercel Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our Site. Vercel Analytics provides aggregated traffic and performance data and is designed to operate without using tracking cookies or collecting personally identifiable information.

Our Site also loads the following third-party services, which may set their own cookies:

  • Google reCAPTCHA — used to protect our forms from spam and abuse. Google may set cookies and collect device and usage information; your use is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms.
  • GoHighLevel (LeadConnector) chat widget — powers the chat feature on our Site and may set cookies and collect chat and device information.

For full details on the specific cookies used, their purpose, and how to control them, please see our Cookie Notice.

5. Third-Party Service Providers

We share personal information with third-party vendors that perform services on our behalf. These providers are permitted to use personal information only as needed to provide their services to us. Our providers include:

ProviderPurpose

  • In a business transfer — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, in which case personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
  • With your consent — or at your direction.

7. We Do Not Sell Your Personal Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising in exchange for money or other valuable consideration.

8. Data Security

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy. In general, we retain contact-form submissions and related inquiries until the related inquiry or lead is closed, and thereafter only as long as needed for our legitimate business records or to comply with our legal obligations, after which we delete or de-identify the information.

10. Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, the sources, the purposes for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.
  • Right to delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.
  • Right to correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
  • Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. As stated above, we do not sell or share personal information.

Categories of personal information collected

In the past 12 months, we have collected the following categories of personal information (as defined by the CCPA): identifiers (such as name, email address, and IP address); commercial or professional information (such as company name and the contents of your inquiry); and internet or other electronic network activity information (such as usage data collected through cookies and analytics). We collect this information from you directly and automatically through your use of the Site.

11. Your EEA and UK Privacy Rights (GDPR/UK GDPR)

If you are located in the EEA or the UK, you have the following rights regarding your personal information, subject to applicable law:

  • Erasure — to request deletion of your personal information in certain circumstances.
  • Restriction — to request that we limit our processing in certain circumstances.

  • Objection — to object to processing based on our legitimate interests, including direct marketing.
  • Withdraw consent — where we rely on consent, to withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@thebrandrevolt.com.

Right to lodge a complaint. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. In the UK, this is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. In the EEA, you may contact the supervisory authority in your country of residence, place of work, or where the alleged infringement occurred.

12. International Data Transfers

We are based in the United States, and the personal information we collect is processed and stored in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate. If you are located in the EEA, the UK, or elsewhere outside the United States, please be aware that your personal information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. Where we transfer personal information out of the EEA or the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, or another lawful transfer mechanism.

13. Children’s Privacy

Our Site is intended for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hello@thebrandrevolt.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

14. Changes to This Policy
